Fitment Procedures and Warranty Claims

TNT Battery Express Stores pride ourselves in offering excellent customer service, providing an honest and thorough examination before just replacing your current unit. The current battery needs to be tested to ensure that the battery needs to be replaced, a flat battery is not necessarily a dead battery.

Over the counter sales

Any customer that purchases a battery over the counter without fitment provided by TNT Battery Express Store will require the following information.
Type of vehicle, year model, engine capacity and additional extras, example, excessive sound systems or lights.
From the information provided a battery will be recommended and supplied.
The customer then has 14 days to bring in the vehicle for testing – free of charge – failure to do so will result in voiding your warranty.
The above-mentioned procedure is to ensure that all of the supporting components required to support the new battery unit, are operational and gives our clients the opportunity to act proactively, to ensure maximum lifespan from their new battery.

Fitment sales

After TNT Battery Express Store accesses the current battery in your vehicle by doing a voltage drop test, alternator test, CCA diagnostic test, and load test we will advise our client weather the unit needs replacement or if there is another factor contributing to the batteries inefficiency.

In the event that your battery needs to be replaced, we will install a new unit and all tests will be done again, including a parasitic draw test – this ensures that supporting components are operational and that our customers receive excellent service and maximum lifespan from their new battery.

In the event of a warranty claim

Any battery taken into consideration for a claim with a voltage reading less than 12.4V needs a 24h assessment period.
In this time the battery will be fully charged and tested thoroughly, CCA diagnostic and load tests will be done.
If the battery fails any of the above tests, the battery will be replaced with immediate effect.
